When we read a book, there is always a longing desire to read a follow on. This is usually because the writer has left too many questions at the end unanswered, or the book you were really enjoying had to go and crap on all your expectations by throwing out a lame or unsatisfactory ending. But, once in a while, an author will provided us with a series if books. It is in those moments we live for the trilogies and collections of our favourite stories.
So, without further ado, here are my top ten favourite book series.
Stephanie Meyers’ The Twilight Saga
Vampires, werewolves and a whole lot of loving. The main thing that made this
collection was the pure fact that I was #TeamEdward girl all along.
Jacqueline Wilson’s Hetty Feather
Going back to a book series of my youth, but still a collection I love and admire today – Hetty Feather is the amazing tale of a girl who is destined to find her birth mother
during the Victorian era.
Cathy Cassidy’s The Chocolate Box Girls
Essentially, the wonderful work of Cathy Cassidy was what led me to continue reading into my teens. The story if girls who are sisters, each struggling with their own lives is absolutely amazing.
Veronica Roth’s Divergent
The struggle of being a divergent really comes to shine in Roth’s works. Every girl feels like she’ll never fit in, and Tris’ bravery and strength never fails to admire me. Also, Four is pretty much bae.
James Dashner’s The Maze Runner
Something’s just stick with you. And the idea that the whole Maze Runner idea came to James Dashner’s in a dream is pretty ducking epic! His work never fails to captivate me, and this is a series I can read for days on end.
Anna Todd’s After
Originally set as a fan fiction on Wattpad, the After series was a collection I read after publishing. With a pretty solid romance, and characters you can’t help but adore, the After series is amazing!
Estelle Maskame’s Did I Mention I Love You?
Another set of Wattpad books that is absolutely amazing. The story of Eden and her stepbrother Tyler is enough to make any girl swoon.
Rochelle Mead’s Vampire Academy
Bad-ass fighter? Check. Cute Russian guide? Check. A story to end all YA paranormal fiction? Check!
Ally Carter’s The Gallagher Girls
Growing up, besides being Barbie, here is nothing cooler to a girl than being a spy. And reading the Gallagher Girls collection, a part of you feels like you finally made it.
J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter
The phenomenal series that is Harry Potter. If you have never heard of this series – havr you been living under a rock? Harry Pitter is first, and foremost, the perfect book series to ever have been written.
And so there you have it, the list of my top ten favourite book series. If I’ve missed one off just let know in the comments section.
